8% international tourist incoming, according to UNWTO Barometer 2018 confirms the last years’ positive trend
Italy proves an increasing benchmark in the world tourism map. 2017 data, recently published on UNWTO’s Barometer in June 2018, give evidence of the latest trend up and set the Beautiful Country in the top five destinations of higher turnover.
In fact, Italy is number five of the global destinations for revenues up to US$44 billion. From the seventh up to the fifth position in the international tourism incoming list, with a good 8% increase.

Number one USA, with a total of US$ 211 billion (at a considerable distance in respect to other Countries), number 2 Spain, with 68, number 3 France with 61 and number 4 immediately previous to Italy, Thailand, with US$ 57 billion.

Instead, Italy is number four for growth rates: below Thailand at +13%, Spain at+10%, France at +9%, Italy ranks fourth at + 8%. More contained the USA, at just +2%.
