A “challenge” project to involve entrepreneurs and business combinations and get the new trends in the market.
FactorYmpresa Turismo (Tourism FactorYmpresa) is the National Plan born to support and provide business combinations with new input and Tourism with creative start-up.
Promoted by the Directorate General for Tourism, implemented by Invitalia, Project FactorYmpresa give small enterprises and aspiring entrepreneurs an opportunity to enter tutoring services and get funding, by supplying tools fit for catching new market trends, facilitating their re-positioning, innovating and specializing processes.
The target is:
- fostering business innovative ideas in tourist chain;
- supporting highly innovating small enterprises;
- encouraging tourist operators’ combination to have services integrated.
The first step entering FactorYmpresa is a start-up and enterprises accelerating path. An on-line track for hints and educational tools, before the following competition on four different challenging topics. By participating, it gets specialist services, helping to develop the various business proposals.
It allows an idea within only one of the following categories:
- combining, a project to create or strengthen a business combination.
The projects presenting most of the makings, twenty for the category start-up and eight for the combining one, pass the selecting test and participate in Accelerathon. A 36-hour full immersion along which start-uppers and representatives from business combinations work at their project together with a mentor.
The aim of working together at Accelerathon is:
- checking strengths and weaknesses in the business’ model;
- defining how to reinforce the project by detecting the specialist services needed;
- preparing a 3-minute pitch to present the jury
and, in the pauses, it can attend orientation and network sessions.
The jury decrees the best 6 start-up and 4 combining projects for challenge, being awarded the prizes for the business project to develop.
The cash-awards consist of EUR 10.000 a start-up and EUR 15.000 a combining.
At a further final step, the jury selected start-up and combining projects will be developed in ninety days, after which they will be presented on a public event. The best will be further cash-awarded at the rate of EUR 2.500 to spend on study visits or trade fair participation.
